This and That...

Will you please list down(through post or comment) what you need for the dinner? Because it's like a bit here and a bit there. Write it down then if you can't get it, we could arrange some other people to buy it. Or if you want to buy something which you think would be useful but you're not so sure bout it or the budget allocated, post a comment here.

By the way, what's our budget for everything?

Anyway, for deco, Chaer needs
  • lanterns, stickers, ang pao packets, unwanted plum flowers, origami pineapple.
I think we should use the chinese caligraphy to decorate as well. And red cloth would come in handy. I'll try to get the caligraphy thingy if possible but i dare not make a promise. Chaer, do you need polystyrene as well for the backdrop or wordings? I could contribute some ang pau packets as well.
I saw something like that fan in the middle which cost about 2 to 3 bucks. Different shape. Want to use it for deco or something? It's just an idea. Well, i haven't seen anyone dance with that before so it may not be useful to dancing.

For fund raising, i'll check out the price of the mandarin oranges 1st. Now that i think about it, i don't think we could sell pamelos for fund raising could we? If we serve it during the dinner, will most of the people eat? During Mooncake Festival, a lot was wasted and they were sponsored by May's mom if not mistaken. I wonder whether people don't like to eat pamelos or did we actually bought too much that time?

Chaer, i think it's okay if you don't get a cheongsam.

Oh ya... was wondering who's going to be the emcee. (I know it's not something to be worried about for now) I was thinking maybe what we did for Mooncake Festival could be done again, as in a chinese and a non-chinese.

For the souvenirs, chinese traditional clothes and tea sets were suggested during the meeting. So did anyone went and enquire the price of chinese traditional clothes? Or is it memang tak jadi dy? Oh ya... do you think those shops selling all kinds of things from China would have any not-so-expensive things that could be used as souvenirs? Cuz there are quite a lot of this kind of shops now opened in Kuantan. Maybe tomorrow or some day after that I'll go and check them out cuz I'm quite positive they have tea sets there(if you all want tea sets as souvenirs). What do you think about chinese drawings? The ones drawn on scrolls...

Sorry for this long post with lots of crap. Ideas often come and go. =>

Oh ya...anyone has CNY songs?
