8.15pm - main performance by hired ppl(kl ppl, need info on this) suggestions: chinese ochestra, kung fu show, chinese drums, lion/dragon dance, etc (need 2 find 1 for d event)
in between: mini drama
8.40pm - dance
in between: mini drama
8.50pm - video(suggested theme: why we do wat we do during cny- like y gv ang pow, y wear red, y lou sang, y hv reunion dinner, etc) any other suggestions 4 theme of video?
in between: mini drama
9.00pm - chinese yoyo(boon seong)
after that... plz gives suggestions..

neway, my thoughts are pessimistic, so think it twice before absorbing k.
chronologically-
the souvenier should go on last.
we shouldnt use the 'ppl run in n give thang', old chinese emperors regard themselves as god on earth(reincarnation sumtimes), its far-fetched, but i dun think we should do sumthg like dat. Lou sang is cool, but its a table of teachers, not clearly visible to all.to get the crowd in the mood, aft the 'lou', we distribute some of it to dem. not all will get of course, so it can go as random.
and abt dinner. dont do it too early, u might loose the crowd. most ppl are there cuz of the food-wait... u gotta take into account their prayers time too(wadeva time is dat).
da 'kl ppl' u mentioned is on, as the matter of fact, their even more active now. i havent met da teacher in charge, sum new guy which gua tak tau, will find, to be quick n ez, gimme da date of the cny dinner, and budget. i'll negotiate frm dere. gua tak kenal mana mana ah chu ah kau yang tau kungfu show, so cant help u dere. if we have orchestra, u still want a drum performance?
dance is a must. gals always sell. LOL. and i AINT DANCING. no hell way. dun think u guys need eastern bhangra. your suggestion of a theme, aint it alot similar to last year's? i wikipedia-ed history of cny, ntg much. im lost in that, but we should try to diversify. themes repetitive.
and erm... no offence... but i dont thing yoyo should go... again.... y dun WE ownself do our own dragon thingy at the end? u knw, chinese thang, dragon go abt, bite sumthg frm high up, den pass to horsefall, sumthg to signify the end of the dinner. i have ideas, but aint knowing how to spill it in words.
think abt it la. will keep u all informed abt the baju. saw 1 in midvalley while me jalan jalan. mahal till my pants almost fell, so nvm....
oh... and I AM LEGEND is cooolll.... will smith's best performance. LOL

i partially agree to dom..abt dinner..but think abt it..if u do dinner to late..ppl mite be restless n hungry thus wont be paying much attenetion..plus if its too late..when the time comes to eat..mad cows n chicken will be seen all arn..eg : deepavali

Well... I think the yoyo thing should go on since boon seong is the last person in college who knows how to do that thing(i suppose so) and it is a traditional thingy which less and less people know about.
So i suppose we have to book the GH or have we got the approval already? Tell me early if you need me to write the letter.
I think you need to put the main performance 1st before you start dinner. If not everyone will start eating and not watch the people we hire with god knows how much bucks.
I Am Legend is gd movie, catch it if u can! =) Tho d ending, i was hoping will smith n d lady wud start a new family as d 2 last ppl left on earth n repopulate d world, so cool...haha
maybe right, we dun worry if ppl r leaving a not la. coz i think based on our reputation,,ppl might stay.
we just try to do more on the promotion of the event to let ppl noe what we having. then when they makan,,they see the performers from outside with their chun chun costume ( coz everyone makan together wan normally),then i think they will anticipate the event lo and wont leave until the perform. =) coz from icc,hungry crowds not nice to please la..hahaha.
